The
Royal Society of St George Leeds Branch, has for a number of years
organised the annual St George Festival, which takes place at Morley Rugby
Club, Scatcherd Lane Morley.
All are welcome to attend the Festival and see a number of attractions from Falconry Displays to Battle re-enactments. The Bowmen of Adel Compete each year for the Golden Arrow in the St George Long Bow Competition |

Thousands of people descend on Morley for the St George Festival, in 2006
we were extremely privileged to be visited by Her Majesty's Lord
Lieutenant for West Yorkshire, Dr Ingrid Roscoe FSA. Dr Roscoe spent most of the day in Morley and toured the entire St George Festival chatting to participants and visitors alike. Here Dr Roscoe can be see chatting to members of the War Re-enactment Society. |

The St
George Festival is an event attended by young and old, both groups enjoy
the day many taking part in the activities the and competitions. A parade of vintage cars and other vehicles will leave Morley Town Hall and makes its way to Morley Rugby Club, which is a short distance away. Amongst those taking part are members of the Public together with Brownies, Guides and Scouts. The City of Leeds 168 Squadron Air Cadets plays an integral role in organising the event, however members do take part in the social side of things too! |

| The St
George Festival is popular with both young and old and attracts people
from a wide area. The Festival is fast becoming one of the premier social events in the City and is one of the largest St George Festivals in the north of England, attracting as it does several thousand visitors each year. As well as the St George Long Bow Competition other events are ongoing throughout the day across the site at Morley Rugby Club, where food and drink is available. |

The
event is well attended by a number of organisations who take part in the
re-enactments on the day as well as West Yorkshire Police, West Yorkshire
Fire and Rescue Service and the Army. A number of local and national charities are present raising their profiles and funds to help resource the work the carry out. Come along the next St George Festival and see for yourself !
